Yazoo means "River Of Death" The Band have a song called "Yazoo Street Scandal." It's not their best, but it's still pretty cool. And I'm sure you're also familiar with the Yazoo Land Scandal by Georgia Governors in the late 18th/early 19th century There was also a record label called Yazoo Records, which had a lot of blues, gospel, and folk artists - good stuff
